Preparing for Kazakhstan…

I met Victoria on my last visit to Kazakhstan. She is a Christian singer/songwriter and leads worship in a local church. Victoria loves the Lord and is a faithful witness for Christ in her community. She will join Shana and I for a concert on Sept. 26. We are asking her to sing two of Arman’s songs (the popular songwriter who was killed a few years ago), as well as one of the Psalm settings I composed. Here is a refrain from Arman’s song, Ghaisa Kim (Who is Jesus?).

Jesus’ banner calls out, saying "come here, Though non-believers may laugh at it. Even when hard times come, Jesus’ way will endure forever.

Pray for Dashan and Dimitri, two musicians we will collaborate with who do not yet trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord. Pray for details that still need to come together for the concert. Pray for Victoria as she prepares for our concert, that the Holy Spirit would use the songs she sings to draw people to Christ. Pray for the church in Kazakhstan (Christians make up .01% of the population) to be a faithful witness for Christ.
